You’d think the beginning of a spiritual journal would start at the beginning of the spiritual journey. You’d be wrong, at least in this case. I have no particular reason for starting this today, other than the fact that I’m starting it today. So like any good novel, the action picks up right in the midst of the story and we’ll have to piece things together along the way.
So I’m starting at the center of the journey.
But what’s at the center of the journey? God. The title of this blog—taken from a song I wrote last summer—is about Him; He is the one who I always find at the center of everything…when I decide to look.
My hope in making this record of my journey public is to share what I’m going through—my joys, my fears, my struggles, my victories—so that anyone who cares to read it, even if it is only one other person, might be encouraged to pursue God and to carry on with their own spiritual journey.
God does not promise a smooth road, but He does promise that He will never leave us alone on it, and that is something I need to remind myself daily. The days I feel really alone, like today, are the days that I need to remember that God is with me, always and forever.

Hey there,
My name is Dan and I am the one that designed the “Beach House” theme you are using for the site. I hope it is working well for you.
I am leaving a comment because I understand the frustrations that can come along with serving God and being a Christian. I have a blog that is very similar to yours – it is The Abundant Life.
Basically it is my thoughts and views about serving God while trying to be a good husband and father.
Anyway, I will be stopping by from time-to-time to see what you have to say so I can b inspired. And oh, if you need any WordPress or theme help don’t hesitate to contact me.
