The Song

As I mentioned in my very first post, the title of this blog is taken from a song I wrote a few years ago. If I actually had any readers ;-) I thought they might be interested in the lyrics, so here they are:

At the Center of It All

Faithful sunrise
     radiant glory on the clouds,
Awesome ocean
     calming power in the waves,
Infinite sky
     vast variety of stars
And I find You, Lord, at the center.
I find You, Lord, at the center.

CHORUS:
Of the sunrise, of the rain,
Of the peace, and of the pain.
Every day I search again,
And at the center of it all I find You.
At the center
Of the sunrise, of the rain,
Of the peace, and of the pain.
Every day I search again,
And at the center of it all I find You,
At the center of it all.

Loudest voices
     in ecstatic cries of praise.
Faintest whispers
of a hurting friend in need.
Closest feelings
in the depths of silent eyes.
And I find You, Lord, at the center.
I find You, Lord, at the center.

(CHORUS)

BRIDGE:
Of my life, Lord, you are the core.
In my life, Lord, I want you more.
Take my life, Lord, and use it for anything.
I’ll follow anywhere.
Lord call me any time and I will know:
I’ll find You at the center.

(CHORUS)

Love that washes
     and surrounds my every thought,
Joy that fills me
to the center of my soul,
Peace that soothes me
     and stills my aching heart
And I find You, Lord, at the center.
At the center of it all, I find You.
